Today was the fourth day of Derawasi Paryushan. 

Tomorrow we celebrate Mahavir Jayanti at Kingsbury High School from 8:00 pm. There will be Mahavir Janma vachan, uchhavnis for Sapnas and parnu. Please arrive in time. Dignitaries (mayor, Zee TV representatives, Councillors have all been invited to attend this programme.

This morning talk on Kalpsutra Vachan at the Kenton Derasar was on the 14 dreams of Trishlamata. Yesterday Vinubhai covered the first three dreams (sapnas) in detail and today he talked about the remaining 11 dreams. There was samuh chaitya vandan and arti/mangal divo after the talk. All those attended were given prabhavna of Mohanthal. Tomorrow, being Mahavir Jayanti, Vinubhai will talk about Mahavir Janma from Kalpa Sutra.

Around 200 people attended pratikraman but this increased to more than 300 soon after the Bhavna started . The musicians from India (Ashishbhai of Ahmedabad) were in their true form. The audience enjoyed their singing of Nem-Rajul and Chandanbala bhajans. At this stage I would like to mention that each day various people recite different Sotras but the base Pratikraman is shared between Prabhudas Shah, Jaimal Ketan Shah and Daxaben Doshi. They are doing this admirably.

Today's Arti was taken by Mrs Vidyaben Manharlal Mohanlal Mehta (£151) and the Mangal Divo was jointly taken by Dineshbhai Mehta & our secretary Chandrakantbhai Shah. Again, Ashishbhai sang both the arti and mangal divo in different tunes that was very much enjoyed by all. The two utchavanis were rather disappointing – perhaps the shravakos are mentally preparing themselves for tomorrow's Mahavir Jayanti Uchavnis.

There were raas/garbas and Vadhai at the end.
