Today was second day of Derawasi Paryushan.
The morning talk on Kalpsutra Vachan at the Kenton Derasar was again attended by some 80 people. There was samuh chaitya vandan and arti/mangal divo after the talk and today's morning prabhavna was date roll.
Today Vinubhai explained the 11 Kartavyas of Shravak with interesting stories to aide explanation. He mentioned that the five kartavyas he talked about yesterday should be followed by all true shravak's during paryushan parva and the 11 kartavyas should be followed all the time. These comprised:
1) Sangh Yatra
2) Sangh Pooja (help others)
3) Sadharmik Vatsalya
4) Pausadh
5) Taap
6) Ujamnu
7) Sashan Prabhavna
8) Dev Dravya Vridhi
9) Shrut Gyan – Gyan pooja – spread knowledge
10) Rati Jago for bhakti
11) Pap Shudhi – karmani nirjara – pratikraman – looking back
Some 350 people attended pratikraman/ Bhavna . Again, the musicians from India (Ashishbhai of Ahmedabad) were very impressive. The violin player, the tabla player(s) and the manjira player were just exceptional. You can sponsor each day's Bhavna for £51.
Today's Pratikraman was again sponsored by Rekhaben and Dr Jagdishbhai Shah (£401) and his family and friends started the pratikraman with Navkar mantra.
