Today was first day of Derawasi Paryushan. Mahavir Foundation is following Derawasi start date this year. The MF Derasar at 557 Kenton Road has been decorated with flags and buntings. In the morning Vinubhai Kapashi delivered his first talk to an audience of some 80 people on Kalpa Sutra Vachan planed throughout the Paryushan (same time same place). Today he explained the five Kartavyas of Shravak with interesting stories to aide explanation. These comprised:
- Amari Parivartan (propogation of philosophy of Ahimsa)
- Sadharmik Vatsalya (helping and supporting fellow human beings)
- Kshamapna (forgiveness)
- Taap
- Dev Darshan
Tomorrow's lecture by Vinubhai will be on 11 Kartavyas. Some four hundred people attended pratikraman/ Bhavna at the Kingsbury High School (Stag Lane entrance) . The musicians from India (Ashishbhai from Jainam Musical Group of Ahmedabad) were very impressive. The music Group was supported by Rajubhai and his colleagues from Shakti Centre in Harrow Weald.
