Mahavir
Foundation is a Registered Charitable Organisation established in 1987. Its
main aim is to provide a place of worship for the local Jain community.
The Organisation strives to promote Jain education and spiritual
development in tomorrow's world. Mahavir Foundation was registered
both as a Charity and a limited company in 1987.
Mahavir Foundation has always arranged interesting and varied
programmes. Mahavir Foundation has also helped other organisations
in their religious and educational activities.
Mahavir Foundation is allowed to operate a Ghar-Derasar from
a property in Kenton, Harrow. The murtis of Mahavir Swami, Parshvanath
Bhagvan, Aadinath Bhagvan, Manibhadra Dada and Padmavati Mata
are installed in the temple.
Mahavir Foundation purchased a property in Harrow Weald. This
property is in a green-belt area of the Harrow Council. The land
is about 0.75 acre and we intended to do a medium size temple
over there. We did get the permission to do a Centre here but
there are difficulties and obstacles and we may have to think
about other alternative site.
We the Trustees and the Executive Committee Members of Mahavir
Foundation seek your active support in building our own Derasar
and fulfilling our dream. With your moral and financial support
we will leave a lasting monument for our future generation which
will promote the true values of non-violence and peace in the
UK.
